Louis Foster set the pace in an all-green second Indy Nxt practice session in Nashville.
The Andretti driver managed a speed of 185.066 mph ahead of qualifying for the final round of the season.
After three incidents in first practice, one of which led to Christian Brooks taking a back-up car for practice two, the session ran green throughout.
Foster jumped to the top of the timings early on ahead of Myles Rowe and Michael d’Orlando. It was a position that he would remain until the end of the session but this time Foster was able to improve and gradually improve his fastest lap time.
Rowe and d’Orlando also found improvements, bettering the initial pace set by Foster but still finishing 0.7 and 0.8 mph slower than his final best speed.
Bryce Aron and Caio Collet briefly jumped up to second and third quickest early in the session. While they also improved later on, neither could hold onto the positions. They slipped back to ninth and eighth respectively, just ahead of James Roe.
Jacob Abel was fourth quickest ahead of Yuven Sundaramoorthy, Jamie Chadwick and. Callum Hedge.
