Dilano van’t Hoff will be part of MP Motorsport’s Formula Regional European Championship line-up for a third successive year.

The 18-year-old Dutchman started his single-seater career in Formula 4 United Arab Emirates two years ago, winning five races and coming second in the championship with Xcel Motorsport.

He then joined MP in Spanish F4, and won 10 races en route to the title. Later in the year he was promoted to the team’s FREC line-up, contesting three rounds and claiming a best finish of 15th.

Van’t Hoff started 2022 by racing for Pinnacle Motorsport in the FRegional Asian Championship and claiming a podium, then what was supposed to be his first full-season in FREC with MP turned into a part-time campaign as he injured his shoulder and had to miss three rounds. Once he returned to action he was able to pick up a podium and one other points finish to come 19th in the standings.

“I am very grateful that MP supported me even in bad times,” said van’t Hoff. “They are widely known as one of the best teams in formula racing, but that does not translate into cold decision making for them.

“Instead, they nurture the family atmosphere in the team and show that you can also win while caring about your drivers. We won together in 2021, I am happy to repay their trust in me by recaptured form as the team knows mine.

“The setback of last season has made me mentally stronger. As a result, I am more than ready for the 2023 FREC season. My goal is to make the Dutch team and its Dutch driver make headlines.”
