Reigning series champion Jake Dennis was victorious in race two of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC opener at Hockenheim.

The Briton passed polesitter Matt Parry off the start and kept the lead until the end of the 14 lap race.

With the first ten minutes of the race spent under safety car conditions, the drivers didn’t get a lot of clear running. However, the shortened green flag racing was enough for Oliver Rowland, who managed to move up from eighth on the starting grid to second by the end of the race.

Caterham junior Parry took third ahead of race one winner Esteban Ocon, with Mikko Pakari rounding out the top five.

Indian Shahaan Engineer was sixth, ahead of Gustav Malja and Ed Jones, while Roman Mavlanov and Alexander Albon completed the top ten.
