Alessandro de Tullio has taken a double pole position at Barber Motorsports Park for the third and fourth races of the 2026 Indy Nxt season.

De Tullio was fastest in the second qualifying group, lapping 0.0848 seconds faster than Nikita Johnson, second in the group. Championship leader Max Taylor topped the first group, putting him second on the grid for race one in Alabama.

A red flag disrupted running at the start of the first qualifying group after Niels Koolen span out on cold tyres and his rear wheels became stuck on the grass.

After a small delay, running resumed with Tymek Kucharczyk setting the early pace. Salvador de Alba and Taylor joined him at the top of the order, swapping provisional pole positions.

Taylor managed to set a time of 1m10.5933s in the closing stages of the session before immediately improving. By the end of the first segment, he had lowered the benchmark to 1m10.4758s.

De Tullio set the pace early on in the second group and spent most of the session at the top of the order.

Johnson briefly took provisional pole with the first lap time to improve on Taylor’s time. However, it didn’t take long for de Tullio to improve again.

The AJ Foyt Racing driver set a second flying lap, improving on his own time and securing pole position for both races.

Enzo Fittipaldi was second fastest in the first qualifying group. He jumped up the order from fourth with his final flying lap of the session, just 0.1893s slower than Taylor to secure fourth on the grid.

Kucharczyk was classified sixth, behind Bryce Aron and ahead of Max Garcia and Jordan Missig.

Myles Rowe and Juan Manuel Correa – who were first and second in Friday’s sole practice session – completed the top 10.

After a difficult qualifying session for Lochie Hughes, the Andretti Global driver who sits fourth in the early championship standings could only place 19th on the grid.
