Campos Racing has named Lola Lovinfosse as its second signing for the new Formula 4-based F1 Academy series.
Although born in Rouen in northern France, Lovinfosse has spent the past two seasons racing mainly in Campos’s home country Spain in the national F4 series.
She lined up with Drivex for her first car racing campaign in 2021 and scored a best finish of 13th, then switched to Teo Martin Motorsport for 2022 but only took part in four of the seven rounds before having to cut her season short due to a laack of budget.
“We are pleased to have Lola with us for the very first season of F1 Academy,” said team principal Adrian Campos Jr.
“Lola has already proved to be a strong Formula 4 contender and no doubts she is ready to take a key role in this new category. She is an excellent driver and we can set ambitious goals together.”
Lovinfosse is mentored by former Campos Auto GP and Euroformula Open racer Facu Regalia’s Road to Success operation. She was previously a regular in European karting competitions with some standout results, placing 15th in the WSK Champions Cup in 2021 in the senior OK category with Ward Racing.
“I’m very proud to be joining Campos Racing in the new F1 Academy,” she said. “I’m so thankful and honoured to take part in this category with such a professional and experienced team. I want to thank Campos Racing for this amazing opportunity and for believing in me.”
Campos had already secured the signature of another former Spanish F4 racer, Nerea Marti, who was a frontrunner in W Series last year.
