Campos Racing has completed its line-up for the new FIA Formula 3 Championship by signing Alessio Deledda, who only contested his first season of car racing in Italian Formula 4 last year.
A former motorcycle racer, 24-year-old Deledda competed for the Technorace team in Italian F4 and failed to score a point, managing a best finish of 17th place.
He joins European F3 driver Sebastian Fernandez and Formula Renault graduate Alex Peroni in the Campos line-up.
?It?s a challenge but we strongly expect that it will be productive,” team boss Adrian Campos said of the signing of Deledda.
“Alessio isn?t extremely experienced in single-seaters but certainly has vast experience in motorsports. Our team will put everything at his disposal to help him and make progress as quickly as possible.”
Deledda said: “My target is to learn many things as possible and gain experience.
“Campos Racing is a great team competing in many different championships including Formula 2.
“Everybody is always there for everything I need and they always help me with every step of my training and racing experience.”
