Sergio Campana scored his maiden pole in Auto GP at Marrakech, narrowly beating ex-F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan in a session that saw multiple interruptions.

While Karthikeyan was first during red flag one (caused by problems with the timing), Campana managed to snatch away pole with a lap that was 0.041s faster.

Italian F3 champion Riccardo Agostini took third with a late lap, ahead of his Manor MP teammate Daniel de Jong. Robert Visoiu rounded out the top five.

Monza race-winner Kimiya Sato took sixth ahead of the Super Nova duo – Vittorio Ghirelli and Antonio Spavone, who spun to bring out the second red flag of the season. Finally, Luciano Bacheta and Andrea Roda rounded out the top ten.
