British Formula 4 race-winner Luke Browning will switch to Fortec Motorsports for his second season in the championship.
Browning won the opening race of the 2019 season after starting 10th on the grid, and went on to finish sixth in the standings with a number of impressive drives throughout the season and an end tally of two wins.
The Cheshire racer makes the move to Fortec from Richardson Racing, the team he had previously raced with in Ginetta Junior. Browning is the third driver to be confirmed at the squad for 2020, joining fellow sophomore driver Roberto Faria and rookie Rafael Villagomez.
?I?m pleased to be able to announce I?ll be heading into my second year in British F4 with Fortec Motorsports,? he said.
?The objective, of course, is to ultimately compete for the championship. I proved myself as a race winner and regular podium finisher last season, so there?s no reason we can?t build on that this time around.
?My focus at the moment is on hitting the ground running at Donington Park and getting the season off to the best possible start.?
Racing for the one-car Richardson outfit, Browning regularly battled at the front of the field and had a third win in the series taken away by a penalty. His F4 successes came off the back of third place in the 2018 Ginetta Junior standings.
?Everybody at Fortec is delighted to welcome Luke to the team for the start of the 2020 British F4 said,? said team manager Oliver Dutton.
?He?s a proven winner at this level and will fit in well alongside Roberto and Rafael. Between the three of them, we?re optimistic of starting the season on the front foot with some excellent results.
?We?re all concentrating now on the end of winter testing and making the best possible start at Donington Park later this month.?
