Recently crowned Brazilian Formula 4 champion Vinicius Tessaro has chosen USF Juniors as the next step in his single-seater career.

When the Brazilian F4 season concluded last weekend, Tessaro’s management were still considering his options for 2024. They were looking at American and European series, and have now selected to join DEForce Racing in the USA.

The Texas-based team ran two Brazilians in USF Juniors this year, with Nicolas Giaffone winning the title for them. It will be a similar story in 2024 as the arrival of Tessaro follows the signing of Bruno Ribeiro, a graduate of Brazil’s entry-level Formula Evo series.

“Mission accomplished in Brazil and now it’s time to take a step forward in my career,” said Tessaro.

“After being crowned Brazilian F4 champion, I am very happy to compete in USF Juniors in the USA for the 2024 season. Thank you Ernesto and David [Martinez, DEForce’s team bosses] for trusting in my potential, and I hope to achieve great results while driving the blue car.”

Tessaro came third in the inaugural Brazilian F4 season last year, with four second places being his best results. In his sophomore campaign he claimed six wins and three other podium finishes, as well as qualifying on pole three times.

Exclusive Autosport already has four drivers signed up for USF Juniors next year.

Jack Jeffers won three races en route to third in the standings this season, and will remain with the team for 2024.

“This past season was positive in the goals we were aiming to reach with multiple wins, poles, and podiums and we are going to take everything we’ve learned, build on it, and use it towards fighting for the championship next season,” said Jeffers.

His team-mates will be Radical sportscar racer Evan Cooley, who has been doing testing in open-wheel cars for several months, Brazilian driver Joao Vergara who was runner-up in Lucas Oil School of Racing’s Formula Car Race Series this year, and USF Juniors sophomore Giovanni Cabrera.
