Brits Jack Aitken and Matt Parry put in a quality performance in the absence of the Eurocup regulars to take over the front row at their home race at Silverstone for Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.
Aitken set the quickest time in his group, beating out karting graduate Dennis Olsen and Nicolas Jamin. JTR’s Julio Moreno was fourth, ahead of Roman Beregech.
Championship leader Parry was untouchable in his group, but came less than a tenth short of Aitken’s time, giving his London-born teammate pole. Another Briton, Raoul Owens, was second in the group, beating out Ryan Tveter, Louis Deletraz and Alfonso Celis.
