26-year old Japanese driver Yoshitaka Kuroda has entered a third year in his relationship with Euronova Racing by moving up to Auto GP to partner compatriot Kimiya Sato. It will be Kuroda’s third consecutive season in Europe since moving across from Japanese F3 in 2011.
Kuroda’s single-seater career began ten years ago in an early variant of the Toyota Racing Series. He raced in Asian Formula Renault in 2005 and Formula BMW ADAC in 2006. Three years back in Asia were followed by a? return to Europe in 2011.
In 2011 he was the only driver to contest the Formula Abarth national class with Euronova, but was able to mix it with Patric Niederhauser and Sergey Sirotkin.
A step-up to the main class in 2012 was on the cards but he decided instead to switch to Italian F3 with the bulk of the Formula Abarth 2011 field, sticking with Euronova. An unsuccessful season followed where he finished tenth in the International Series and 11th in the European series.
