Meindert van Buuren, Jr. will continue his cooperation with MP Motorsport and step up to the Auto GP series, partnering Italian F3 champion Riccardo Agostini.

Van Buuren, 18, made his debut in single-seaters in 2011, when he contested a full season of Formula Renault 2.0 NEC with Van Amersfoort. Not scoring any points, he continued in the series in 2012, switching to MP Manor and taking 11th in the standings with one podium finish.

MP Motorsport are also set to run a third car for their GP2 driver Daniel de Jong, who will supposedly take part in the series whenever his calendar allows it.

In the 2012 season of Auto GP, MP took second in the teams’ standings, with de Jong finishing fifth and his teammate/driver coach Chris van der Drift ending the season in fourth.

The team also confirmed its line-up for the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 at its launch, consisting of Oliver Rowland, Felipe Fraga and Javier Merlo. The three drivers will also be fielded in selected NEC rounds.
