ADAC Formel Masters’ leading 2014 rookie will join the new ADAC F4 series for its inaugural season.
Tim Zimmermann, 18, continues his partnership with Austrian squad Neuhauser Racing, having finished third with them last year.
The German racer graduated to cars on the heels of a strong career in karts which saw him finish runner-up in the KF2 classes of Euro Wintercup and ADAC Kartmasters.
In his maiden campaign in ADAC Formel Masters, he finished all but one race in the points and celebrated a career-first in at Slovakia Ring, taking the lead on the final lap.
Zimmermann, who is part of ADAC Stiftung Sport, helped Neuhauser to their first teams’ title in ADAC Formel Masters alongside teammate Mikkel Jensen‘s drivers’ championship.
Hannes Neuhauser has previously stated that his team plans to run two cars in ADAC F4’s first season.
