HMD Motorsports has announced that its full-time driver Nolan Allaer will miss this weekend’s Indy Nxt round at the Milwaukee Mile.
In a team statement, HMD’s president Mike Maurini also confirmed that nobody would replace him in the #11 car and thus leaving the team with a six-driver line-up for the penultimate round of the season:
“Nolan Allaer and the No. 11 HMD Motorsports entry will not compete in the Indy Nxt event this weekend at the Milwaukee Miles due to family and school obligations. The driver and car entry will return for the season finale in Nashville.”
Last year Allaer made a huge leap up the single-seater ladder from the wing-free Formula Ford category to second-tier series Indy Nxt, and in his rookie season the American missed four races. Three of those were on ovals, including Milwaukee.
From his part-time campaign his best starting position was eighth, achieved in his final two appearances at Mid-Ohio and Nashville Superspeedway. He was able to maintain that position in the race at Mid-Ohio for one of two top-10 finishes that year, which helped put him 19th in the standings.
This year he currently sits 16th in the championship, with ninth places at the Gateway oval and Laguna Seca his best race results. He also qualified eighth for a third time on Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course.
The 23-year-old is yet to confirm his plans for 2026.
Max Taylor returns to the HMD line-up for Milwaukee following the conclusion of the USF Pro 2000 season at Portland, while Davey Hamilton Jr resumes his oval-only programme. Juan Manuel Correa does not include the track in his exploratory campaign, while Nicholas Monteiro will not follow up his debut at Portland.
