Rodrigo Gonzalez will make his European racing bow with Chris Dittmann Racing at next month’s Silverstone GB3 round.

The 19-year-old Mexican racer currently sits seventh in this year’s USF Juniors championship with two rounds remaining, and he scored his first podium at Barber Motorsports Park earlier in the season.

Having only started out in karting in his homeland in 2022, Gonzalez was 20th in his rookie USF Juniors campaign in 2024, with 10th place his best result. He has also taken part in the YAcademy Winter Series for the past two years, coming seventh in the 2025 standings with a second place finish at NOLA Motorsports Park the highlight.

“I’m incredibly excited to take this next step in my career and make my European racing debut in the GB3 championship with Chris Dittmann Racing,” he said.

“Silverstone is such an iconic track, and I’m really grateful for the opportunity to race there. The team has been very supportive, and testing the GB3 car was an amazing experience. I’m ready to give it my all and learn as much as I can from the weekend.”

Gonzalez tested GB3’s Tatuus MSV GB3‑025 car with CDR at Anglesey ahead of his debut, and is planning to contest further rounds this season with another team.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Rodrigo to the team, and to be returning to GB3 action again at Silverstone,” added CDR’s team principal Chris Dittmann.

“He’s shown a lot of promise in his short career so far, and adapted well in his test with the team recently, so we’re hopeful he can make an impression when he goes racing.

“While this is currently scheduled to be his only appearance with us before completing the season elsewhere, we’re very much looking forward to working with him as he makes his European racing debut.”
