Formula 2 star Dennis Hauger is the biggest name on the entry list for Indy Nxt’s post-season Chris Griffis Test on Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s road course this Friday.

There will be 21 drivers on track, 10 of whom have already been confirmed as racing in Indy Nxt next year.

HMD Motorsports will run its six signings and three other drivers: Christian Brooks, Josh Mason and Liam Sceats.

Brooks started 2024 in USF Pro 2000 and picked up four podiums en route to sixth in the standings. He missed two rounds after stepping up to Indy Nxt with HMD, and three fifth places from eight starts put him 16th in the points table.

The 24-year-old won races in USF2000 during his two seasons there, and won the 2023 USFP2000 season opener but only contested two rounds.

GB3, Formula Regional Oceania and Euroformula race-winner Mason contested the the first two Indy Nxt rounds of 2024 with Abel Motorsports, finishing 17th and 16th. He had stepped up to the second tier of single-seaters in the second half of 2023, driving in the last four rounds of the F2 season and taking a best finish of 12th.

Sceats is a newcomer to Indy Nxt, having leapt up the single-seater ladder in the last two years. He raced in New Zealand Formula Ford for several seasons before stepping up to FRegional in 2023 and impressing by coming fourth in the Oceania championship and second in the Japanese championship with three wins.

His sophomore campaign in Oceania at the start of 2024 included him winning the New Zealand Grand Prix and being championship runner-up, and he stepped up to USFP2000 where he took a win at IMS en route to fifth in the points.

Andretti Global will feld Hauger and James Roe Jr in testing alongside its two 2025 signings.

Hauger, the 2021 FIA Formula 3 champion, has been racing in F2 since 2022. He came 10th in his rookie season, eighth last year and is currently ninth in the standings. The Norwegian also occasionally races in Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, and spent six years as a Red Bull junior.

Roe raced for Andretti in Indy Nxt this year and came sixth in the standings with a pole and two podiums. That was one position higher than 2023, his sophomore season, when he secored more points.

USFP2000 race-winner Ricardo Escotto, who raced part-time in Indy Nxt for Juncos Hollinger Racing this season, will pilot the Andretti Cape entry.

Abel Motorsports will have four cars on track at IMS, and its test-only drivers are Callum Hedge and Jordan Missig.

Hedge, the 2023 FRegional Americas champion and FRegional Oceania runner-up, came fourth in Indy Nxt this year with HMD. Missig was 11th in USFP2000 two seasons in a row before stepping up to Indy Nxt part-time with Abel for 2024.

Jack William Miller will be in action with his family’s Miller Vinatieri Racing team, and Juncos will run LMP3 prototype racer Alexander Koreiba and USFP2000 podium-finisher Frankie Mossman.
