Martinius Stenshorne will remain in FIA Formula 3 for 2025, and stay with the Hitech GP team for a second season.

The 18-year-old Norwegian will be embarking on his fourth year in single-seater racing, having begun his time in cars in Formula 4 only two years ago.

He was seventh in Italian F4, 10th in F4 United Arab Emirates and 17th in Spanish F4, with a combined tally of three podiums.

Stenshorne spent 2023 in Formula Regional and made a step up in performance as well as stepping up the single-seater ladder. He came 18th in a part-time campaign in the Middle East championship with R-ace GP, then was European championship runner-up as he stayed with the team. Five wins, six other podiums and three poles were his returns that season.

Another part-time FRME campaign kicked off 2024 and this time he made the podium four times and came eighth in the standings, before embarking on his rookie season in F3 and becoming a McLaren Driver Development Programme member.

“I’m really happy and excited to be entering my second season of FIA F3 and with Hitech,” said Stenshorne.

“2024 was a strong first year in the championship and we achieved some good results that also contributed to the team being able to fight for both titles – something I hope we will see again next season. I’m looking forward to getting down to work with the new car in the new year.”

Stenshorne won on his third start in F3, and another podium appearance in the Red Bull Ring sprint race as well as a high-scoring final weekend of the season at Monza put him 18th in the standings.

“I’m delighted to confirm that Martinius will continue with us for the 2025 campaign,” Hitech’s team manager Paul Bellringer added.

“In only his first year on the international stage – one of the most competitive seasons F3 has ever seen – he punctuated his obvious potential with a win in the second round, a podium, and he was regularly in the fight for points.”
