Formula Regional Oceania runner-up Zack Scoular will race in Eurocup-3 later this year with Palou Motorsport.
The 17-year-old has had a strong start to 2025, winning two races, claiming a pole position and setting two fastest laps en route to second in the FRegional Oceania standings with MTEC Motorsport as a category rookie.
He had raced in Formula 4 prior to that, making his debut in the support races at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – where he finished 12th twice – then contesting the full seasons of the United Arab Emirates and British championships in 2024.
In F4 UAE, Scoular had a best finish of fifth driving for the Yas Heat Academy team and his five points-scoring results left him 17th in the standings.
Driving for Emirati team Xcel Motorsport in British F4, Scoular made the podium in his fourth race but finished in the top 10 just six more times over the 30-race campaign. His next best result was a fifth place, and he came 15th in the standings. In the rookie classification he was fifth, having been the top rookie three times.
Scoular teased his Eurocup-3 move during his FRegional Oceania campaign, and he is one of six drivers that have been signed by Palou Motorsport so far.
The team was launched by three-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou and is run by his father Ramon. It is partnered with top IndyCar team Chip Ganassi Racing through its driver development programme, and is currently fielding five cars in Eurocup-3’s winter series.
