French GP3 and GP2 race-winner Tom Dillmann will be testing with ISR during the official Formula Renault 3.5 pre-season tests at Aragon.
The seat alongside Sergey Sirotkin at the Czech team is one of three vacancies remaining in the category for the 2013 season, along with two spots at Zeta Corse.
Dillmann, 23, is an established, experienced figure in junior single-seaters, with years of practice in different open-wheel categories. Having raced on-and-off in various Formula Three categories since 2007, he finally took a title in German F3 in 2010 and graduated to GP3.
In his first season of GP3, he was picked up by Carlin and scored a podium in his very first race at Istanbul Park, but was dropped after the first round due to budget issues. He continued in the series a round later with Addax, but could only add three points finishes to finish 14th overall.
In 2012, Dillmann graduated to GP2, joining Rapax. There he raced six rounds (scoring a reverse-grid race win at Bahrain in his rookie season) before being let go by the team in favour of Daniel de Jong.
ISR,finished fourth in the teams’ standings in FR3.5 last year, taking Sam Bird to third in the drivers’ championship, while also running Jake Rosenzweig, who will contest GP2 full-time this year.
