Martinius Stenshorne will replace Amaury Cordeeel in Rodin Motorsport’s Formula 2 line-up for the last two rounds of the 2025 season.

The team has not put out a statement explaining why the switch has been made, but Stenshorne already has a contract with the team since he was announced as one of its drivers for 2026.

The Norwegian already made a strong impression on his F2 debut with Trident at the most recent round in Baku in September. He qualified eighth and was running second and fourth in the two races before being forced to retire from both.

Runner-up to Andrea Kimi Antonelli in Formula Regional Europe in 2023, Stenshorne has since spent two seasons racing in FIA Formula 3 with Hitech as a McLaren junior, finishing fifth in the 2025 standings.

McLaren recently announced that Stenshorne was one of several junior drivers it will be parting company with. Still looked after by Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management, he will partner Alex Dunne, who also recently split from McLaren, in the Rodin F2 line-up for the rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Cordeel embarked on a fourth straight year of F2 this year when he joined Rodin on the eve of the season opener as a last-minute replacement for Christian Mansell. He has scored points just twice this term, his best result being eighth in the Monaco feature race.

Stenshorne’s early switch to Rodin means a new driver will appear for Trident in the final two rounds alongside Laurens van Hoepen, who has committed to completing the season with the team after also making his debut in Baku.
