Rodin Motorsport has announced McLaren junior Martinius Stenshorne as its first signing for the 2026 Formula 2 season.
The 19-year-old Norwegian recently made his F2 debut with Trident in Baku, qualifying eighth but failing to finish both races.
That came after the end of his second FIA Formula 3 Championship season with Hitech GP, in which he came fifth in the points with two victories, three second places and three fastest laps. In 2024 he was 18th in the standings with one victory.
“I’m really excited to be joining Rodin Motorsport in the 2026 F2 championship,” said Stenshorne.
“This is a big step forward in my career, and I’m grateful to the team for their trust and support. I can’t wait to get started in Abu Dhabi for the post-season test and give it everything on track this upcoming season.”
Stenshorne joined Formula 1’s support bill after being 2023 Formula Regional European Championship runner-up with five victories and coming eighth in FRegional Middle East. He also made a GB3 cameo in 2024, and raced in five different Formula 4 championships before that but did not win a race in any of them.
“[Martinius] has shown speed and maturity throughout his junior career and his debut in Baku gave a clear indication of the potential he brings,” Rodin’s sporting director Benn Huntingford said.
“F2 is a big challenge, but we’re confident he has the ability to adapt quickly and deliver strong results. We’re looking forward to supporting his development and working with him as he makes the step up.”
