Martinius Stenshorne, a member of Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management stable, has been signed by R-ace GP to race in the Formula Regional European Championship.

In karting, Stenshorne won Italian and WSK Super Masters titles in the Mini category in 2018, and in 2020 won the South Garda Winter Cup and came second in the WSK Champions Cup while racing in OK Junior under Nico Rosberg’s academy banner. He was signed by Todt in 2021 while racing OK senior karts for Charles Leclerc’s factory team, Lennox Racing.

Last year he made the transition to single-seaters in Formula 4, starting off with R-ace in the United Arab Emirates championship and coming 10th in the standings with one podium. He then joined Van Amersfoort Racing to compete in Europe, taking two podiums en route to seventh in the Italian championship and doing two rounds in ADAC F4.

Stenshorne also made a Spanish F4 cameo with VAR’s partner team Monlau Motorsport, and last month stepped up to FRegional with R-ace in the rebranded Middle East championship. He scored points in four of the nine races he started.

“R-ace GP have proven themselves to be a good and consistent team fighting for top positions in FREC,” said Stenshorne.

“I’m looking forward to improving myself as much as possible this season and hopefully have a good season. Preparation week was good, got to know a lot about the car as well as the other team members. I’m really looking forward to the first official test, to get back in the car and get the season started.”

R-ace’s FREC line-up is now complete, with sophomores Tim Tramnitz and Matias Zagazeta in the team’s other two full-time entries.
