Prema has completed its 2025 FIA Formula 3 line-up by signing 2023 Euroformula champion Noel Leon.
The Mexican took the Euroformula title in his first year spent racing in single-seaters’ third tier, then made his F3 debut at the Macau Grand Prix where he finished 19th.
He raced for Van Amersfoort Racing that weekend, and stayed with the team for the 2024 FIA F3 Championship. Leon came 10th in the standings, making the podium four times and taking a fastest lap.
“I am super happy and proud to join Prema for my second FIA F3 season,” said the 19-year-old.
“I’m very thankful for their trust, and I can’t wait to start working with the team and prepare for the season. I will give my absolute best to fight for both championships.”
Leon was the 2019-20 NACAM Formula 4 champion, the 2021 United States F4 champion and came 23rd in Formula Regional Europe two years ago. He will be team-mate to Ugo Ugochukwu and Brando Badoer in 2025.
“Noel put up some impressive showings this year, and we are happy to welcome him for the 2025 season,” Prema’s team principal Rene Rosin said.
“He has valuable experience in the series and great room for further improvement. Having already worked together in the Jerez test, we think he will be a good fit within our team, and we look forward to continuing the work.”
Earlier this year Leon became a member of the All Road Management setup led by Nicolas Todt and which manages the careers of several Formula 2 and F3 drivers.
