Tom Mills took a lights-to-flag victory in the the rescheduled opening GB4 race at Donington Park.
In a race postponed from the previous round at Silverstone, KMR Sport driver Mills resisted pressure throughout from Fortec Motorsports’ Colin Queen to win by 0.4 seconds, with Evans GP’s Cooper Webster a close third.
The front three had early company from KMR’s Jeremy Fairbairn, who faded after a battle with Fox Motorsport’s Liam McNeilly.
Queen edged closer to Mills in the closing stages, with Webster also showing pace behind, but it was Mills who prevailed at the chequered flag.
Fairbairn eventually pulled clear of McNeilly for a lonely fourth, with McNeilly demoted to sixth at the finish behind team-mate Sid Smith due to a 5s track limits penalty.
Elite Motorsport’s Harri Reynolds was another to fall foul of track limits, his penalty dropping him three places to ninth.
That enabled Graham Brunton Racing’s Harry Burgoyne to take sixth ahead of KMR’s Jack Clifford, who recovered from an opening lap excursion at Redgate that put him at the back.
Fortec’s Ruhaan Alva was tenth, while team-mate Aditya Kulkarni slid off at Old Hairpin on the final lap.
