Lucas Fluxa has announced a switch to Hillspeed for the final two rounds of the current GB3 season.
The 16-year-old has spent the first six rounds with Argenti with Prema, achieving a best result of fifth during the Silverstone season-opener, and he sits 11th in the standings.
Fluxa made his single-seater debut last year in Formula Winter Series, where he came 13th, and he then won twice en-route to 8th in Spanish Formula 4. He has also made cameos in both Eurocup-3 and its Winter championship during 2025.
“I’m very excited to join Hillspeed for the next rounds of the championship, the visits to Donington and Monza, for a final push,” said Fluxa. “I’ve enjoyed my first year in GB3, and have delivered some good performances, but I’m aiming even higher with this new opportunity to drive for Hillspeed.
“The team has shown what it is capable of with wins and podiums this season, so I’m looking forward to working with the guys and pushing for the best results we possibly can over the final six races.”
Hillspeed achieved four wins during a three-round programme with Freddie Slater, Kanato Le and Hiyu Yamakoshi in GB3 which concluded at the last round at Brands Hatch, and Michael Shin also scored a podium during a one-off series return with the team at Silverstone last month.
“We’re delighted to have signed a deal for Lucas to race with Hillspeed in GB3 for the last two meetings of the season,” said Hillspeed’s team principal Richard Ollerenshaw. “He’s a fantastic young talent, great speed and ability and a strong pedigree from F4 and his formative career in karts.
“We’ve watched him closely this season in GB3 and are now relishing the opportunity to get Lucas in a Hillspeed car and see what we can do at Donington and Monza.”
Fluxa is not the first driver to switch from Argenti with Prema to Hillspeed this year. Mercedes junior Yuanpu Cui did the same to join Shin in the latter’s line-up at Silverstone, making way for Argenti’s British F4 driver August Raber to make his GB3 debut.
