Jesse Carrasquedo Jr has signed with Van Amersfoort Racing to make a full-time step up the FIA Formula 3 Championship next year.
The 18-year-old Mexican, a member of the Nicolas Todt-led All Road Managament firm, made his FIA F3 debut this season with Hitech GP and a 13th place was his best result from the two rounds he did at Barcelona and the Red Bull Ring.
At the start of 2025 he drove in Formula Regional Middle East, coming 15th as a part-timer with one podium finish, and was eighth in the Eurocup-3 winter series where he also made the podium.
His primary campaign for this year went on to be Eurocup-3, in which he sits fifth in the standings with one round remaining. He has two wins and qualified on pole twice, and remains in contention to be championship runner-up.
“I’m very excited to join VAR for my first full F3 season,” said Carrasquedo.
“They’re a very professional team, and I’ve participated with them before in FRegional European Championship, so I’m quite happy with this move. I hope this season will go very well with them.”
Carrasquedo did two FREC rounds with VAR in 2023, and four rounds in 2024 with G4 Racing. He was points-free throughout.
He had already tasted Eurocup-3 success though before 2025, having joined Campos Racing for a part-time programme last year that resulted in a win, a third place, a pole and eighth place in the standings.
“We’re proud to have Jesse back with the team and excited to work with him again,” said VAR team principal Brad Joyce.
“His talent and determination have been clear to see, and now that we will work together full-time, we can build on the progress he’s already made. The upcoming post-season F3 testing will help him get more familiar with the car and prepare him to thrive over a full season. Together, we’re aiming for strong results and continued growth in the year ahead.”
