Italian team JD Motorsport has decided to run in selected events during the 2013 Formula Renault 2.0 Alps to test and get some experience ahead of a possible full season in 2014.

The team, who are also competing in Formula Renault 2.0 NEC this year, will be at three events during this season, Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, and Monza. The team has already done a test at Imola to gain some more kilometres because they were not satisfied with their testing in the winter.

?Our aim is to do as many kilometres as possible. In winter time, due to bad weather, we did not test sufficiently,” said the JD Motorsport team principal Roberto Cavallari.

The team will do the three selected events as a two-car operation, one being driven by Polish Jakub Dalewski, and the other by Venezuelan Juan Branger, both members of the team in the NEC. After the three events, the team will decide if they want to expand to participate in Alps full time.

?Our attendance to these three Formula Renault 2.0 Alps venues will be useful to gain experience and to figure out our possible full attendance to 2014 season,” stated Cavallari.
