The 2025 Formula Regional European Championship calendar has been revealed, with a change of location in Italy being the biggest difference to this season’s schedule.

Since 2021, three of the 10 rounds each season have taken place in Italy and they have been at Imola, Monza and Mugello. They have been host venues since the inaugural season in 2019, as has Barcelona, Paul Ricard and the Red Bull Ring.

For next year, Mugello will be dropped from the schedule and Misano will take its place. It is not a new track to the FREC paddock, as the 2020 season opener took place there. The three wins that weekend went to three of Prema’s drivers.

Misano will get to host the opening round again in 2025 on May 2-4, followed two weeks later by a trip to Spa-Francorchamps.

Round three will take place at Zandvoort and support the DTM, but the date is yet to be determined. The next two rounds are at the Hungaroring (July 4-6) and Paul Ricard (July 18-20), then the second Italian round is at Imola on August 1-3.

After a summer break, FREC heads to the Red Bull Ring (September 5-7) and Barcelona (September 19-21), followed by another DTM support slot at Hockenheim where once again no date has actually been given to the event.

Monza gets to host the season finale for the fourth time since 2019, on October 24-26.

Pre-season testing will take place at Barcelona (April 8/9), Misano (April 17/18) and Paul Ricard (April 22/23), and there is set to be pre-event testing at several rounds although those are yet to be announced.
