GB4 race winner Logan Hannah will make a return to single-seaters at this weekend’s F1 Academy finale at Yas Marina as Prema’s wildcard entry.

The 23-year-old last raced a single-seater in GB4’s inaugural season in 2022, finishing 10th in the standings for Graham Brunton Racing with one victory and a further podium finish.

Hannah, a former Dubai resident, made her debut in 2017 in Formula 4 United Arab Emirates. She also enjoyed a spell in Formula Ford 1600 with GBR, her achievements including finishing fourth in the Scottish FFord championship, victory in the David Leslie Trophy at Knockhill and a best result of 18th at the FFord Festival.

She finished sixth on her Clio Cup Middle East debut last month, and will race at Yas Marina under a UAE licence.

“This is an incredible opportunity for me to race on an unparalleled platform,” said Hannah. “I’m excited to take on this challenge in Abu Dhabi, where I grew up karting and my career began, knowing I’m part of a mission to help create opportunities for the next generation of women in motorsport.

“I also want to say a personal thank you, Susie [Wolff], the entire F1 Academy team, and Away for this opportunity.”

Following the cancellation of race two in Qatar last weekend, F1 Academy has announced that the final round will include an extra race, with the grid to be determined by driver’s third-best qualifying times.
