Cougnaud takes maiden pole position at Monza

French driver Alexandre Cougnaud came out on top in a rather close qualifying session at Monza, taking his first pole position in the series.

The RP Motorsport driver led an RP Motorsport 1-2-3, securing the top spot with a late-session effort.

Cougnaud will start in front of his teammates, with Santiago Urrutia and? Sandy Stuvik taking second and third respectively. The second row is completed by Stuvik’s rival and championship leader Ed Jones, with the Team West-Tec man clearing Mario Marasca and teammate Nelson Mason by less than a tenth of a second.

Vicky Piria secured seventh position, narrowly edging Alex Toril out. Nicolas Pohler and Copa class pole-sitter Richard Gonda rounded out the top ten.
