Christian Brooks has landed a last-minute drive for the USF Pro 2000 season opener in St. Petersburg this weekend.
The 22-year-old will race for Turn 3 Motorsport, and earlier this week joined the team for pre-season testing at Sebring where he was fifth fastest.
Brooks was a champion karter and runner-up in the Lites category of Global Rallycross and then the Americas Rallycross Championship in 2017 and 2018 before he debuted in single-seater racing four years ago in United States Formula 4.
He claimed two wins and came third in the standings as a rookie with Jay Howard Driver Development, then spent the next two years in USF2000 with Exclusive Autosport.
His first season there ended with a win and fifth in the standings, then he had a strong start to his sophomore campaign with two wins in St. Petersburg but ended the year sixth in the points table as he missed the final round to make his USFP2000 debut at Mid-Ohio. He finished fifth in both of the races at the track.
Brooks signed with Exclusive for a full USFP2000 campaign in 2022, but car damage from a qualifying crash meant he missed the season-opening races in St. Petersburg and then budget issues stopped him from racing again.
He now returns to the series, for one round only, with backing from social media network OnlyFans.
“Super pumped to be joing Turn 3 with my OnlyFans machine,” said Books. “Bring on St Pete!”
Turn 3 will be running four cars in St. Petersburg, with Brooks being team-mate to reigning USF2000 champion Michael d’Orlando, Jonathan Browne and Jackson Lee.
