British Formula 4 has released a provisional calendar for its 2025 season, which will feature returns to two former long-serving venues.
The first four rounds will be at the same tracks as this year, with the season opener taking place on Donington Park’s National layout on April 26/27. Brands Hatch hosts round two on its Indy layout on May 10/11, then two weeks later drivers race at Snetterton. Another two-week break follows before round four at Thruxton.
The big change comes in the two rounds after, although there would be no change at all if British F4 had used its provisional 2024 calendar. Originally it was scheduled that Oulton Park and Croft would hold rounds five and six this year, but the calendar was revised to replace those tracks with Silverstone’s Grand Prix layout and a first ever trip to Zandvoort.
Those two slots return to Oulton Park and Croft in the provisional 2025 calendar, on June 21/22 and August 2/3. Prior to 2024, those circuits had featured in every British F4 season since the championship’s creation in 2015.
Two weeks after the Croft round is the annual trip to Scotland to race at Knockhill, then there is a second visit to Donington Park on August 30/31. On that occasion the full Grand Prix layout will be used.
Ending the season are rounds on Silverstone’s National layout (September 20/21) and Brands Hatch’s Grand Prix layout (October 4/5). All 10 rounds will be in support of the British Touring Car Championship.
No testing dates for 2025 have been revealed yet, but there will likely be pre-event testing at some rounds.
