The 2025 Brazilian Formula 4 season began at Interlagos with a weekend filled with action and three race winners from three different teams.

The balance between the teams already sets the tone for a highly competitive and unpredictable campaign. TMG Racing made a strong beginning with Ciro Sobral, who took pole on Saturday and won the first race after a direct duel with Cavaleiro Sports’ Ethan Nobels.

Both drivers made their debuts in 2024 and now, with more experience in the car, have demonstrated the maturity and pace to fight at the front. Nobels performed outstandingly to win race three after a tight battle with Sobral to leave as points leader. Their squabble ended when Sobral got close to contaxt then went off and spun exiting the Senna S. The safety car was called out as a result, and Sobral ended up finishing ninth.

“It was a very good weekend. We evolved and worked hard, even during the night,” revealed Nobels after race three.

“I am very happy with the result we achieved. For today, our strategy was to win, and it worked! We scored a lot of points, we are in the lead of the championship, and now we have to keep working towards the title until the end of the year.”

In race two, the standout driver was Bassani Racing’s Murilo Rocha. The 15-year-old debutant had reversed-grid pole and belied his inexperience in a strategic and confident performance to hold on to the lead throughout the

Another impressive rookie was TMG’s 15-year-old racer Heitor Dall’Agnol. He was fastest in qualifying, but a technical irregularity in the ground clearance of his car meant he was removed from the results and had to start from the back of the grid in races one and three. Despite this, with precise overtakes and impressive pace, he climbed the grid and finished fourth and second in those two races to sit second in the championship standings.

After racing in the Formula Regional-based Eurocup-3 winter series, Alceu Feldmann Neto was back in F4 and picked up his first podium.

Round two of the season is at Velo Citta on June 27-29, with two further visits to the track before the field returns to Interlagos in November to support Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix.

There is then a likely trip to Brasilia on November 28-30, before a late end to the season at Interlagos in mid-December.
