Andrija Kostic will step up the single-seater ladder next year, joining Trident’s Formula Regional European Championship line-up after racing in Formula 4 since 2024.
He will be team-mate to his 2025 F4 team-mate Luka Sammalisto, with one more driver yet to be announced by the team.
“I’m proud to announce that I’ve joined Trident. Becoming part of such a successful and respected team is a huge step in my career, and I’m really excited for what’s ahead,” said Kostic.
“I have complete trust in the whole team, and I believe we can achieve great things together. My goal is to grow with the team, reach the top, and one day make it to Formula 1, with Trident by my side. This is the beginning of an incredible journey.”
The 16-year-old from Serbia has already raced for four different teams in the last two years, starting off with Jenzer Motorsport who he contested the first two rounds of the 2024 F4 Central European Zone season with.
He then joined Van Amersfoort Racing in E4 and Italian F4, coming 15th in the former and a points-free 35th in the latter.
Kostic then represented his home country in the Motorsport Games F4 Cup at Valencia’s Ricardo Tormo circuit, finishing eighth in a car run by Tecnicar Motorsport. Two sixth places were his best race results of the year.
For 2025 he switched to US Racing for a three-pronged sophomore attack on F4. It started with the Formula Winter Series, in which he immediately improved his best result to fourth place and came 11th in the standings.
An Italian F4 campaign followed, with Kostic rising up the points table to 17th, and he is currently 11th in E4.
