Campos Racing has signed American karter Vivek Kanthan to race in Spanish Formula 4 next season.
Kanthan first made an impact in mini karting by coming second in the USA SuperNationals and winning the Rotax Max Challenge USA and the ROK Cup Superfinal. Then in junior karting he came 10th in the LeCont Trophy as a rookie, 13th in the Champions of the Future series and 26th in the CIK-FIA European championship.
Since stepping up to OK karts partway through 2023, the 15-year-old American has come 15th in the WSK Final Cup, 20th in the WSK Euro Series, 25th in the European championship, 29th in CotF and 36th in WSK’s Champions Cup, Super Master Series and Euro Series.
“Super excited to begin my single-seater racing journey with Campos Racing in the Spanish F4 championship,” he said.
“Campos Racing is one of the top teams at every level, and I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work with them as I step into a new category.”
Team boss Adrian Campos Jr added: “I would like to welcome Vivek to our team. We are delighted to have a driver of his talent and potential with us in F4 Spain for 2025.
“We have been following his career and progress in karting for years and know he is ready for the next step in his racing journey, which is single-seaters. We have a lot of work ahead during the winter months to prepare for the upcoming season, which I am sure will be a successful one for all of us.”
